ABOUT BOBA TEA
I'm probably like a lot of folks who were unsure about Taro as a flavor. Picked up a cheap $2 bottle of Taro and instantly loved the flavor so much, I had to get a tub from Madrinas to get the real flavor. Works perfect mixed with other coffee, or even on its own. Very versatile and very smooth

I did not want that to end! This was my first boba experience - well actually second, I've had it at a Vietnamese restaurant before, but anyway this was absolutely delicious. Just the right amount of sweetness.
I must stress that it is absolutely critical that you use ice cold water with this. For a while I was kind of wondering is it really that important? but especially if you're adding the tapioca pearls those things are pretty damn hot even after letting them sit 4-5 minutes like they instruct you to, and I could tell that raised the temperature overall of the tea. So after a few good gulps I added more ice and shook it up, good to go.
This is a flavor I can tell I will revisit at any time of day. Nice moderate caffeine lift too, since this and matcha are 85mg as opposed to the other boba flavors being 34mg.
Taro is one of my favorite flavors, and Madrinas nailed it! While it's great with water and ice, try using coconut water or coconut milk for an extra splash of refreshing flavor that works SO well with the taro.
This is a really great Taro flavor and was super simple to make!
