After one of my favorite Sumatran coffees got discontinued, I've been looking for another to scratch that itch. I kept getting frustrated at how many others had a brief boring aftertaste or totally failed to catch my attention, but this one lands in just the right spot for me! It gently but firmly eases you into a very full and almost smoky flavor with a reasonably bitter edge, and has a long and very smooth aftertaste that seems to retain the best notes of the flavor.
So far I've only tried this through a basic French press and old electric grinder at work, so I'm excited to try it with my Chemex and hand grinder at home.
It's kinda a shame that shipping to the STL area takes extra long since the only option I had was DHL (it has to go across the state to get to them!!) so I hope there are local stores that stock Madrinas.
